Netflix Sets Dates for Garuda: Dare to Dream, Carolina Caroline and Never Surrender

Three films get Netflix dates, starting next week with an animated football story.

Netflix has locked in release dates for three films. The first arrives in less than a week: the Indonesian animated feature Garuda: Dare to Dream streams on October 15 in most major regions, including the US and UK, according to What's on Netflix.

Garuda: Dare to Dream (October 15)

The film follows Putra, a 13-year-old with asthma who dreams of playing for Indonesia's national team. After he is mocked at trials, a glowing Garuda spirit named Gaga gives him a mystical jersey that boosts his speed, power and skill. Ronny Gani, who previously worked as an animator on Marvel films, directs, with Keanu Azka and Kristo Immanuel voicing Putra and Gaga. It competed in the animation section at the 2026 Shanghai International Film Festival and won two awards at the 56th Giffoni Film Festival.

Carolina Caroline (November 6)

Samara Weaving and Kyle Gallner star in this R-rated crime film directed by Adam Carter Rehmeier. Weaving plays Caroline, a young woman from a small Texas town who teams up with a con man named Oliver for a crime spree across the American Southeast while searching for the mother who left her. Magnolia Pictures released it in US theaters on June 5, and it reaches Netflix in the US on November 6. It runs 1 hour 47 minutes and holds a 90% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Never Surrender (November 12)

This Indonesian Netflix Original follows a grandfather in a small Central Java village who suddenly has to raise his two grandchildren, until armed criminals from Jakarta attack their home. Sidharta Tata directs, with Lukman Sardi leading the cast. It arrives on November 12.
